In Dublin when a woman says ‘Ask me gee’ it means ‘ask my vagina’; as in if you ask a question and this is the reply it means ‘no I won’t’. It’s street slang, used in working class areas. This shoot was based on women and the strength of ownership over the vagina. All of the women in this shoot come from different backgrounds, all walks of life and from places far and wide. None of the women in this shoot are professional models.
The vagina necklaces being made by Kiki Na Art. Kiki Na Art is a jewellery label based in Dublin, created by designer Ciarna Pham.
